FAQ

What is the difference in using the Blimp or the Helicopter?

Our tethered blimp can take amazing low level photos up to 130m (400ft) high. It gives an amazing view from ground level, right through to the penthouse of a "not yet built" high-rise development in the inner city.

The helicopter on the other hand handles the larger developments, the moving speed boats, or the night photo-shoots over the city.

Do you do jobs interstate?

Yes, we will go anywhere, and do. We do regular work throughout Queensland, including Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, & Townsville. We have had projects in Darwin, Kakadu, Tasmania, extensive work in Sydney, and many other places.

Why choose aerial photos rather than ground based photography?

Aerial photos offer another perspective that is just not possible from the ground. With our low level aerial photos, you can see the full property, and how it relates to its surroundings. We can even put the outlines on the property to show the boundary lines using photoshop.

The coal mining & LNG industries extensively use our photography for analysis and documentation. The detail achieved from our high resolution aerial photos gives fantastic scope to how the photos can be used. Our high quality images are used for monthly reports, shareholder reviews, site planning and analysis, environmental impact studies, community consultation, documenting contractors and ensuring they are fulfilling their agreements, and the list goes on.

What is the difference between Jumbo Aerial photos and what Google Earth can offer?

Google Earth is great, and it has its place, but it just can't offer the high resolution images that we supply, nor is it up to date. We can offer the latest images specifically tailored to your requirements, with the quality to keep even the most discerning print / press people happy!

Will my pictures fit on a Billboard if required?

Absolutely! We use the highest quality camera equipment, and we are constantly keeping our fingers on the pulse of the latest techniques and technology to stay ahead of the game.

How many photos do I receive?

That all depends. For a standard commercial or residential property we would usually supply 20 - 30 images. Because all our images are shot digitally, if does not cost any extra to take a few more shots to ensure we have every height and angle covered. Regardless of the quantity, we always ensure that we capture the perfect "Hero Shot" to lead the campaign.

Do I need to be on the property when you take the photos?

As long as we have easy access to the property, there is usually no need. We do however welcome clients to be onsite to not only see what we do, but to ensure that we have captured the perfect image. You can even view the images real-time as we are shooting.

Can we add in boundary lines on the images once it's been taken?

Boundary lines and measurements can be superimposed later for presentation. Our team are all very experienced in the finer details of photo manipulation, and we can even do a 100% realistic job of replacing the sky if it was overcast or cloudy when the shots were taken. Although we always prefer to shoot on the perfect day, sometime the weather does not always agree with our deadlines, but with Photoshop, we can work around that!

If I don't have a very big budget, am I still able to get some aerial photos taken?

Prices start from as little as $450 + GST for a full photo shoot. This includes high resolution photography supplied on CD or DVD. If required we can also upload high quality aerial photos to our FTP Server within hours of the images being taken.

Do you only do aerial photography?

Although we specialize in aerial photography, and aim to be the best, we also do a substantial amount of ground based photography. From underground mining, to machinery, to Annual Report work to lifestyle and community integration, we love the challenge of fulfilling our clients expectation and offering fresh and different perspective whilst ensuring we do it on time and on budget.
